Two DFN families where honoured to accept an invitation to participate on the Rocky Mountaineer train for heroes. Nigel and Sue Burton met the recipient of their son’s heart Marc McCay and his mum Linda. Freda Carter and her daughter Julie met the recipient of their son/brother’s heart Scott Rutherford and his mum Wendy. The trip was arranged to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation in Canada, USA, Australia and the UK. Rocky Mountaineer hope to get a further 5000 people in the Vancouver area to sign up to their donation register. For further information please click here.
