Trentham is a special place. 725 acres of spectacular natural beauty and home to award-winning Gardens, glorious ancient Woodland, a unique outdoor shopping village, events galore and so much more.
In March 2022, a special event took place in which over 200 donor family members attended an unveiling of a sculpture created by artist Robin Wight whose work has been on display at Trentham for many years.
The sculpture named 'Beyond Ithaka - The Gift of Life' was created to honour those who have given the gift of life to others through organ donation, whilst providing a place of peace, solace and contemplation for their families and loved ones.
To ensure that this remains accessible to all who have supported their loved ones in becoming an organ donor, Trentham will allow free access to the Gardens for anyone who presents a gold pin and corresponding letter from families in the Midlands area, given to them by NHSBT. Details for the Gold Heart Access days are below. Other events run by Trentham Gardens will not be included in this offer.
